savoryvictory asked: Me and my friend were having a discussion the other night on whether there was a turtle heaven or not that ended in him saying "God's probably up there laughing at us going: 'You guys only read ONE book and you think you know EVERYTHING'." Regardless of him being absolutely high, I believe that was the smartest thing he's ever said. Nobody knows everything about something by only reading one book, it's just ignorant. I have nothing against religion, but I'm kinda glad I'm a non-believer.
I have to agree with your friend there. Surely if there is a God, their knowledge/complexity could not be contained in a single book- even a book as long as the bible.
You wouldn’t call yourself a mathematician after reading an algebra book, or a biologist after reading introductory to biology. But you read one religious text and you have the answers to all of lifes questions? Seems silly.
